JobOrbit lists Rails and Go jobs collected from public job boards, on joborbit.dev and in the JobOrbit iOS app. This page explains what data that involves. In short: there are no accounts, we don't ask for personal information, and we don't sell or share data with advertisers.
The iOS app
- The app has no sign-up or login and does not collect your name, email, contacts, location, or device identifiers.
- It contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- To show listings, the app requests job data from the joborbit.dev servers. Those requests are recorded in our server logs as described below.
- "View posting" opens the original job board's page. That site's own privacy policy applies there.
The website

The site sets one cookie,
_web_session, which the web framework uses to protect forms. It is not used for tracking. - The site does not use analytics or advertising cookies.
- Job links open the original job boards, whose own privacy policies apply.
Server logs
Like most websites, our servers automatically log requests from the site and the app: IP address, browser or app version, the page or data requested, and the time. We use these logs only to run, debug, and protect the service, keep them only as long as needed for that, and do not combine them with other data or use them to identify you.
Job listings
Listings are collected from public job boards and link back to the original posting. They describe jobs and companies, not visitors to JobOrbit. If you would like a listing corrected or removed, contact us below.
Children
JobOrbit is a job search service and is not directed at children under 13.
